Fashion Essentials for the Snowy French Alps

This past weekend I went to the beautiful Chamonix in the French Alps. The town is surrounded by a vast but stunning mountain range. You want your outfits to look just as beautiful and keep you warm in such a beautiful place. Below I go over what you should be packing to look stylish in the alps.

Hat, Gloves, and Scarf

The easiest way to look cute and stay warm in the alps is to accessorize! While you may think it is overkill to wear a hat, gloves, and scarf. It is cold up there, so you'll want all of them as an option. If you forget anything, check out the stores on the main street. I got my white winter hat there, and I love it! I also recommend getting all these accessories in the same color. It is an easy way to elevate your winter outfit. You can either go basic with all white, gray, or black. Or you can bring a pop of color to your outfits through these accessories.

Boots Boots Boots

This one may seem obvious, but since we were going early in December, I thought we would not get any snow. I was wrong. Luckily, my friend lent me her other pair of boots for the weekend. I suggest a boot with a low platform so that you are cute, but your feet arch is not hurting. A sleek black pair will also elevate your winter outfits. If you want to avoid slipping on ice, remember your boots!

Swimsuit

Okay, this may seem strange, but I promise you it is essential. Many ski towns have heated pools and hot tubs. If you want to enjoy these amenities, then you gotta bring a swimsuit! I went to the QC Terme spa to enjoy its many heated water features. Check it out if you stay in Chamonix! I wish I had brought a one-piece to keep myself warmer, so I suggest that over a bikini.
