Finding Parisian Essentials: Stockings

The month of October just began, bringing with it a hint of Autumn. The leaves have started to change, and the air has a mild chill. Fall can be tricky to dress for due to the cool mornings and warm afternoons. The best way to approach this season is layering! That way, you can take off layers throughout the day. I have noticed that many Parisians layer their short skirts with fun stockings. I found it hard to find stores with funky patterned stockings, so I compiled a list of stores for you to choose your perfect stockings for this fall!

1. ETAM

Etam is known for its lingerie, but they also have a great selection of tights. All of the stockings are 22 euros or less. They have stockings in the form of long socks and tights. They lack many funky designs but have a few cute polka dot and geometrical designs. They also have a selection of nude stockings varying in different skin tones. If you have a more minimalistic style then these are the tights for you!

Calzedonia is the place to go for your tights if you have a funkier wardrobe! They have patterns that have words, geometrics, florals, polka dots, animal print, and even more! You name it, they have it! It is a fun store to experiment with your style in a subtle way. Plus they are all under 16 euros! A cool pattern will elevate some of your more basic outfits to another level!

3. Monoprix

If you are on a budget, then Monoprix is the best choice for you! Most of the stockings are 9 euros. To add on, if you like wearing a lot of colors, then you will love Monoprix's selection. They have blue, yellow, green, and other colored tights. They also have your basic nude and black. Definitely worth checking out on your next trip to the grocery store.
