While walking through Paris, I noticed many Japanese stores ranging from food, such as ramen and sushi restaurants, to products, such as manga and anime shops. There is a growing interest in Japanese and other Asian cultures in Paris. This sparked my interest, and I wanted to explore this idea through fashion. Below is a list of Japanese fashion stores in Paris if you are also interested in Japanese style.

1. Comme des Garcon
54 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré
Price Range: $$$$
Only in the past 30 years, Japanese designers have begun to make their mark in global fashion history. Rei Kawakubo, the creator of Comme des Garcon, is one of the great Japanese designers making their mark. The brand seeks to merge Western and Eastern fashion elements in its products. While CDG couture clothing takes an avante-garde approach which steers many consumers away from the brand. CDG also has a streetwear collection, PLAY, that has been popular for the past decade. They have a considerable part of their store dedicated to this collection and carry every product for that collection.

2. Issey Miyake
11 Rue Royale

Another Japanese designer who has made waves in the past 30 years is Issey Miyake. The brand also seeks to merge Western and Eastern fashion elements in its products. The store has a vast selection of Issey Miyake collections. It also has many products from the Pleats Please collection, which is the most popular collection. This is the store for you if you are looking for comfy elevated basics.

3. Atsuko Matano

A more affordable option if you want to get into Japanese accessories and clothing is Atsuko Matano. This store's product follows the Japanese obsession with Kawaii Neko (Cute Cat). Many products have cute little cats, from towels to gloves to jackets. This store is perfect for you if you like cats and want to dip your toe into Japanese fashion!
