Shopping in Paris: Little Black Dress

The three best stores in Paris to find the LBD for you!

It is an unspoken rule in Paris that you should own a little black dress to wear to the club. This shocked us American students, who are so used to wearing jeans and crop tops to the bars. So many of us were on the hunt to find the perfect little black dress, but it was pretty hard to find. Many of us had unsuccessful trips to the Westfield Forum Des Halles. So to save you an unsuccessful trip to the mall, I will tell you the best spots to find the perfect little black dress.

DAISY

If you chose one store on this list, then go to DAISY! After an unsuccessful trip to Westfield Forum Des Halles, my friends and I stumbled upon it. I was looking for a new dress for my birthday, and DAISY had a vast selection. The photo above shows me on my birthday in the dress I chose from DAISY. There are multiple flattering little black dresses at the store, plus dresses of varying colors and lengths. Most of the dresses in the store are $30 or less. Check it out if you need a cheap and flattering dress.

H&M

Westfield Forum Des Halles

Price range: $

Suppose you are already at the Westfield Forum Des Halles and want a selection of cheaper dresses. In that case, I suggest checking out the H&M there. They have a good selection of little black dresses, but they are scattered throughout the store, so you will be on a scavenger hunt. Most of the dresses were $25 or less. The dresses are pretty, but I found many of them to not be flattering on my curvier body type.

MAJE

Price range: $$$

If you have more money to spend on a high-quality piece that will last you many years, then I recommend checking out Maje. Their selection of little black dresses is on the sophisticated side; however, some options are perfect for the club. Many of the dresses are between $195 - $355. I sadly cannot afford any Maje dresses, but that has not stopped me from window shopping there.
